After rewriting Gertrude Stein’s The Autobiography of Alice B. Toklas as The Autobiography of Daniel J. Isengart from the point of view of his partner, Filip Noterdaeme decided to rewrite another masterpiece. You might have recognised the design of The Pocket Poets Series, of which Allen Ginsberg’s Howl may be the most well known. Noterdaeme transformed Howl into Growl and when Ginsberg describes “the best minds of his generation,” the Beat Generation, Noterdaeme writes about “the worst mind of his generation.”—
