When I opened 本 \hon\ books, I wanted it to be a bookshop, an exhibition space dedicated to books and also a library. I soon realised that giving access to the archive was complicated due to the lack of space for people to consult them. So I decided to produce once in a while themed exhibition showcasing the collection. I tried to find something that would bring a selection of books together without being to arbitrary. That’s how I realised that I was obsessed with minibooks and minizines.
This first show brought together 20 of the smallest publications in my collection.
